Poppy ‘Falling In Love’

Poppy ‘Falling In Love’ is a delightful variety of hardy annuals that produces large, semi-double flowers in a soft mix of pastel colours. These poppies are perfect for bringing a romantic touch to your garden, especially in cottage gardens or mixed borders. The delicate hues of pinks, peaches, and whites make them a beautiful choice for any flower bed or as a cut flower to bring indoors. With their ruffled petals and airy appearance, these poppies will add charm and grace to your garden throughout the summer.

To grow Poppy ‘Falling In Love’, sow the seeds directly outdoors in well-drained soil from March to May for a summer display or from August to September for blooms the following year. These poppies prefer a sunny position and should be spaced 15-20cm apart to allow each plant room to flourish. Once established, they require little maintenance, making them an excellent choice for both novice and experienced gardeners. For the best results, ensure the soil is well-drained and not overly fertile, as poppies thrive in poorer soils.

Harvesting Poppy ‘Falling In Love’ is easy and rewarding. Cut the flowers just as they begin to open to enjoy their beauty indoors. Regular harvesting will encourage more blooms throughout the season, ensuring a continuous display from June to September. These poppies are relatively low-maintenance, needing only occasional watering during dry periods, making them a delightful and effortless addition to your garden.
