For sale here is a very scarce Model 400 Bogdan reel. The reel is left hand retrieve and in near mint condition, with only a few extremely minor marks to the rims as shown in the very clear and thorough photos attached here. These model 400s are extremely hard to find and especially in this condition. The reel has the initials “R.L.T.” inscribed into the handle side of the reel.

Princess Raimonda Lanza di Trabia from Italy was a longtime customer and friend of Stan Bogdan. Here photo appears in Hilyard’s book, “Bogdan”, along with a testimonial she wrote about her appreciation for Stan and his wonderful reels, an excerpt of which appears below:

“To own a Bogdan is, in fact, to own a perfect device, but this is not the point. Its musical sound in far rivers makes your mind go to the perfectly kind and understanding person that is behind it.”

Model 400 specs follow:
Frame diameter 4″
Spool width 1 5/8″
