A nice Winston vintage reel, 3 1/8″ diameter with a spare spool. LHW. Marked 3/4 on the side of the foot. Near mint condition with clean frame and sideplates, and only some very light evidence of wear on the foot. The spare spool appears mint. Black anodized sideplates (the crank side is ported, the face side not). Silver serpentine handle and silver perforated foot. Gold rims, drag adjuster, and oil port cover. R.L. Winston stamped on a plate screwed to the back plate. Packed in a varnished wood box with a foam insert with cutouts for the reel (this appears to be a replacement foam insert, as the originals were notorious for deteriorating badly) as well as the spare spool and oiler bottle included in the package. These reels were produced for Winston while Tom Morgan was still the owner and are a very nice addition for the Winston fan.
