Matching a dry fly hackle to a given hook has always been kind of a trial-and-error kind of affair, but the Griffin Hook & Hackle Gauge has you covered with one convenient tool. One section will help you identify dry fly hooks in size 16 through 8 (based on Mustad 94840 dry fly hooks), while the other section allows you to accurately determine what size hook a particular hackle should be used on. This simple tool removes the guesswork associated with tying consistently identical fly patterns.
