Slotted tungsten beads are sure to get your fly down fast because they’re twice as heavy as brass, heavier than lead, and even heavier than countersunk beads because less metal has been removed from the spherical shape. The slot allows easy sliding around tight hook bends or onto jig hooks. Combine them with Gamakatsu’s J20 Jig Nymph hook the next time you’re tying Perdigons, Blowtorches, or when you just feel like adding a new twist to your favorite Prince Nymph, Pheasant Tail or Hare’s Ear.
